Considered one of the most innovative stylists of his generation, Ibrahim Kamara is well known in fashion thanks to his distinctive vision: in his work, different customs and settings come together to originate a cultural mash-up, which not only demystifies stereotypes and prejudices ("2026", the project that launched his career, challenged the codes of black masculinity) but creates a new world, a continuously evolving and surprising world.

Starting from his first works with Nadine Ijewere and Kristin-Lee Moolman, Kamara, who was born in Sierra Leone, changed the way of narrating fashion: traditional elements, political suggestions and social themes meet high fashion glamour in an odd and wonderful harmony. Kamara’s work plays with unexpected contrasts and the blending of different sources of inspiration in a way that breaks every rule and pushes the envelope of his boundless search for a new idea of beauty.

talk in Inglese
