MTV VMA 2020: tutti i vincitori (a partire da Lady Gaga)
Prove tecniche di divertimento. Nella sera del 30 agosto sono andati in scena gli MTV Video Music Awards 2020 (abbreviato MTV VMA 2020), primo vero e proprio show di premiazione dell'era post-lockdown. Come da promessa, non uno show canonico ma un hub di esperienze che, guidate da Keke Palmer, hanno visto le star del mondo della musica esibirsi da più location in New York per dare vita a uno show unico ma al contempo grandioso.
Lady Gaga
A giocare il ruolo di regina della serata, lei, la più attesa: Lady Gaga. Oltre che a portarsi a casa il maggior numero di statuette della serata, oltre a incantare il pubblico con una sequenza quasi interminabile di outfit, Mother Monster ha dato vita a una serie di performance indimenticabili tra cui quella di Rain on Me con Ariana Grande. Notevole anche Miley Cyrus che ha presentato il suo nuovo singolo, Midnight Sky, esibendosi a cavalcioni di una palla strobo e autocitando la sua Wrecking Ball datata 2013.
Da sottolineare come, nello spirito dissacrante del mondo di MTV, non sono mancati anche i premi creati appositamente per il tempo del lockdown come il "Quarantine performance" e il "Best music video from home" a dimostrazione della incrollabile contemporaneità della Music Television.
