Kylie Jenner's Black String Thongkini Is a Subtle Nod to Spooky Season
Always one to prove that understated swimwear can be sophisticated, Kylie Jenner recently posed in her pool wearing a black string bikini by Heavy Manners. This popular swim label produces small-batch quantities and has also been worn by sister Kendall Jenner. At the front, Jenner's string bikini top featured a single knot in each strap. It fit halter style and boasted three separate ties at the back. Her thongkini bottom made for a super-cheeky look and was uniquely fastened on just one side.
The 25-year-old beauty mogul kept her accessories minimal for the shoot (which promoted her new ambassadorship with beverage brand Glow), opting for two chunky silver rings. The jewelry choice drew attention to her spiky black nails, which could be either a thematic nod to Halloween or the reveal of her new Batman cosmetics collection. Jenner left her long hair down in messy, textured waves, and she sported a heavily lined sepia-brown lip.
The moment comes days after she hung out with her son outdoors in a Rielli suit, also all black but with a smocked texture. She stuck with the same palette on a date night with Travis Scott in a patent-leather Blumarine set while headed to Craig's in West Hollywood on Oct. 13.
Before that, Jenner hopped from one appearance to the next at Paris Fashion Week, showing off a decidedly more diverse wardrobe. At PFW, she was spotted in everything from a shaggy pink Balenciaga dress to a sheer lace Mugler design with a built-in catsuit.
