Blake Lively's Black Cutout Dress Is One of Her Boldest Looks Yet
We can't get enough of Blake Lively's latest red carpet dress at the Gem Awards in New York City on Friday night. The actress wore a stunning, black midi dress from designer Sergio Hudson's fall 2021 collection. In case you're not familiar with the designer, Hudson is known for his classic designs such as the Inauguration looks he created for former First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Blake's little black dress is pretty fitting as the cut-out trend is making a major comeback. It came in a body-con silhouette and featured a leather bodice with bold, structured shoulders. The main focal point was the LBD's deep neckline, which featured a gold dangling charm, and a sultry torso cutout. The bottom of the dress featured a knee-length skirt.
As for her accessories, Lively stayed true to her favorite brands. She styled her outfit with a pair of black Christian Louboutin heels which add a touch of sparkle and had a criss-cross design in the front. She also carried a black and gold Chanel bag that featured a net-like design. For the finishing touches, she wore jewelry by her friend Lorraine Schwartz, who was being honored at the event. She opted for dangling earrings by the designer, which featured asymmetrical stones. We also loved that she pulled her hair back into a slicked-back bubble ponytail to really call attention to those gorgeous earrings.
