16 of Serena Williams's Most Iconic Fashion Moments Through the Years
Serena Williams' talent on the tennis court is largely unmatched - and the same can be said about her style on and off the court as well. The 41-year-old tennis player (and soon to be mother of two) is well-known not only for the competitions she's won, but also the looks that she serves all the while.
Whether bodysuits, tutus, or even blazers, Williams certainly takes her style A-game with her to the court. She's a noted designer as well, collaborating with brands like Nike and HSN, as well as launching her own apparel line, aptly named Serena. Her fashion eye doesn't stop there, however, as she's stepped onto some of the biggest red carpets (and runways) of the world with looks that not only stun, but also allow her whimsical style to shine.
Whether in a one-legged catsuit at the Australian Open in 2021, or an ombre Barbiecore pink feathered cape at the 2021 Met Gala, Williams is never afraid to try something bold and new when it comes to her style. And she will be honored for her style at the 2023 CFDA Awards on Nov. 6. Williams will accept the prestigious Fashion Icon Award, previously bestowed upon Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyoncé and more. The tennis icon is making history in the process as the first athlete to receive the distinction.
"Ever since I was a little girl, I've used fashion as an outlet to express myself," she said in a statement. "I have had so much fun learning my style and allowing it to change as my life has evolved, but I've always held one thing true - fashion is for everyone, no matter your size, race, or income. I am incredibly honored to be receiving the prestigious Fashion Icon award from the CFDA, an organization whose work I have long admired and to stand among style icons I have always looked up to."
While Williams' professional tennis career might have come to a close, her style certainly has not. Ahead, see Williams' latest look and more of her best style moments - from the tennis court to the red carpet.
