The Strict Office Dress Code Kim Kardashian Maintains For Her Employees

When Kim Kardashian invited radio host Angie Martinez into her branding office for an interview on Martinez's "IRL"podcast, the first observation made was naturally about the neutral color palette in the space. Kardashian, 42, explained that the light, minimalist tones make her feel zen, reflecting the same decor she maintains at home. Kardashian's own wardrobe, curated with the help of Dani Levi, mirrors the shades she incorporates into her Skims line - onyx, charcoal, cocoa, umber, clay, and sand, to name several that are offered for her bestsellers.

It's no surprise that her employees dress the same way. "I have uniforms," she told Martinez during their chat. "Well, it's not like, 'Hey, this is your uniform.' It's just color palettes. I have a handbook. Grays, heather gray, black, navy, white, cream, khaki. I mean, we can stick with all neutrals. And not a lot of colorblocking." Kardashian went on to explain that her team were receptive to the idea because they felt it would make things easier. "They should have, like, a free dress day on their birthdays or something," she joked.

Kardashian's office is home to both CFDA Innovation Award-winning Skims and Skkn by Kim. The shapewear designer fittingly styled her Disco long-sleeved bodysuit for the interview with Martinez, pulling down the zipper to reveal a diamond-encrusted "Kim" nameplate necklace. Her blond hair was left in loose waves, and she sported a lightly lined pink lip and a smoky eye.

During the one-hour podcast, Kardashian also discussed coparenting with Kanye West (they officially settled their divorce on Nov. 29) as well as her intention to protect her children from harsh headlines they may not be ready to talk about.
